Funerals
It's not easy to say goodbye to our loved one, its likely there will be many emotions for you and your family. A funeral ceremony can give you all a chance to say goodbye in a calm and dignified manner. We can create a celebration of your loved one’s life for you and your family to remember them by and acknowledge how you feel in the moment. The ceremony may feel like a very sad occasion but also full of happy memories, it’s all about saying that final goodbye your way.
We keep those who have passed alive in our hearts by remembering them, what they loved, who they loved and for you it’s how you want to remember them.
Weddings
We plan our weddings well in advance in most cases and even when we don’t, I'm at hand to ensure this special day gets the fairy dust it needs, so that you remember it for years to come with great fondness.
I’ll help you to be able to retell your wedding story to those that come afterwards. potentially I will work with you to create your own unique love story to make your day the special day it should be.
Naming ceremonies
When new people come into the world and you want to celebrate their arrival, what better way to do it than a naming ceremony. The whole family can be involved in welcoming the new edition with rituals designed to bring the family together and celebrate new life.
New beginnings
Sometimes we have a new beginning, and it can be for a number of reasons. A new name, new gender, or a new start. Whatever the event celebrating a new beginning and looking forward to your future, we can create the ceremony that stays with you, a story well told and a hope filled future.
Renewing your wedding vows
In celebrating life, we can celebrate the marriage of two people and remind ourselves what it is that binds them and makes their relationship so very special. This is a great opportunity maybe to bring two families together, perhaps blended families, and make them into one loving nice family.
We can tell your love story to your family and friends, and you can share your wisdom that you've gained along the way.
Wedding Rituals
Handfasting ceremonies involve the tying together of a couple’s hands or wrists with a cord, ribbon, sash, twine, or vines to signify their union. The ritual is highly symbolic and spiritual and will often take place outdoors and have strong connections to nature.
The tradition has its roots in many cultures and ancient civilisations, from the Mayans to the Celts to Vedic Hinduism. Traditionally, couples would bind their hands together with strips of fabric or cords at their ceremony and they would be attached until midnight. I would not as your celebrant insist on this of course! We could choose the ribbons, lace or ropes you desire, and family members can also choose something that means something personal to them Colours have meanings to help you choose or you may like to take some lace from the wedding dress.
